Character Creation

Here are a few simple guidelines to follow when creating your character for PE. If you have any questions about the guidelines then feel free to drop a question in the designated channel in the discord server and someone will answer as soon as possible.

I) Players will only be allowed to submit 1 character into the campaign. This means that you should make sure that you feel connected with the character you are making and satisfied with their outcome.

II) Characters must be from domestic breeds or wild-domestic breeds. This includes bengals, toygers, etc.

III) Characters have a maximum height of 16" (40 cm) with a minimum of 5" (18cm). Any kitten characters (less than 8 months old) will be required to grow throughout the span of the campaign.

IV) The maximum age of a character is 15 years old and the minimum age is 4 months old. Note that the average life span of a cat is 8 to 12 years of age in the wild and up to 16 years in a domestic space. Take into consideration the living conditions that your character lives in.

V) Characters should be made with colors that could be found in realistic cats with some exceptions to slightly tinted pelt colors but this does not allow vibrant neon or pastel colors. Be sure to check in with an admin if you are unsure about whether a pelt color would be allowed or not. This rule does not apply to eye color which has no limits.

VI) Character are allowed to have interesting fur patterns but do not straight up use shapes such as triangles and stars that are clearly unnatural on the pelt of a cat. The designs and patterns of a cat needs to be semi-realistic and if you are unsure don't hesitate to ask an admin about it.

VII) Players will be allowed to give their cat a "hairstyle". This includes ponytails, braids, buns, and other similar styles but do not go overboard with this aspect of the design.

VIII) Due to characters being around humans, they have access to things like makeup and can use it to wear if they wish. Again, do not go overboard with this idea, the character still needs to be recognized as a feline.

IX) The campaign is LGBTQIA+ friendly and all sexualities and genders are allowed and welcomed.

X) Names should not mock or imply hate against a culture or person and should not be of explicit nature. This includes words that are known to describe stereotyes and slurs.

XII) Players are allowed to give their character any accessory they'd like and as many as they'd like as long as it is realistically manageable. Keep in mind of the things your character will have access to depending on the situations they live in. Any weapons will not be allowed as an accessory.

XIII) Characters are able to have a disability or illness as long as the player is mindful of it and has done extensive research about it in order to portray it properly. Also be aware of how it may hinder you character within the campaign.

XIV) Be sure to be mindful of sensitive topics in your character's biography and to either spoiler it or indicate clearly where the topic is detailed. This is related to character developments and general discussions in the Discord chats (both ic and ooc).

XIIV) Characters are allowed to live wherever the player wishes in the world. There is no specific starting point and there are no pre-made groups for you to choose from so everything about the world will be made up by the players besides what the GM has already established.
