Primal Shades

Not everything can be neatly organized into one of the six Primal Source groups - things overlap. Nor can a single being possess all of the power of a single Primal Source. Which leads to Primal Shades and Connection Overlaps.

Primal Shades

Since the power is too great for one being to maintain at a time, the power is divided between individuals and those with the greatest similarity in their bond to a Primal Source can tap into the full extent of their power together. Of course even those who are not that similar can obtain a little bit more power, but it is weaker and less reliable.

Connection Overlap

This overlap is referred to as a power that can be used by two individuals that are not in the same Primal Source grouping. Once again, the more similar the bonds of the player to their Connection is, the stronger the ability will be, however, the Connection Overlap only applies to Primal Sources that are "neighbors" of each other.

Depending on how far removed the sources are from each other players are- otherwise known as degrees - effects how accurate and successful this power will be. If players are 4th degree then the success of the ability will be low and unpredictable, whereas 1st degree players will be able to control the smallest aspects of the power to work it to their liking.
