Soul Partners

The forces of nature are strong and unreliable and while a single cat can harness the abilities of an element, there is too much for them to hold every ounce of raw power that is an element on their own. It took many years to learn of Soul Partners but when it was discovered, old boundaries magic were broken as new capabilities were discovered.

The bond between a cat and their Primal Source is special and unique but there are also bonds that are similar to each other. It has come to be known that cats with similar bonds are able to use the full output of their Primal energy and reach new lengths of power together. This could be exclusive to just two cats or it has even been found that three cats can be partners, though it is a rare sight to see. But this is of course only when they have recognized each other as Partners.

The bond between the Partners is not defined by any single relationship. They could be siblings, parent and child, strangers, enemies, etc. Relationships between the Primal Partners has no effect on who is who's chosen other half, it is all in the magic.
